In celebration of our upcoming Estate Jewelry Show (August 7–9), we’re sharing a few personal stories from our team. These are the pieces that remind us why estate jewelry holds a special place in our hearts — not just for its craftsmanship, but for the memories it carries.

Caroline’s Story: A Ring from the Garden, and One That Found a Home

“My mother-in-law’s mother once wore this ring,” Caroline explains, gently turning a dainty gold band in her fingers. “It used to have a ruby, but it was lost in the garden years ago. So they replaced it with a diamond. Now it’s part of my story too.”

This ring has traveled across generations — from one strong woman to another. And now it lives on Caroline’s hand, not just as a beautiful piece of estate jewelry, but as a link in a legacy of love.

Another favorite of Caroline’s? A delicate opal ring that belonged to her mom. “My aunt gave it to my mom over 30 years ago, but it didn’t fit her,” Caroline shares. “When I was 13, we were looking through her jewelry box and I tried it on — it fit perfectly. So she let me keep it.” Today, she wears it on her pinky finger. “It’s the only finger it fits,” she laughs. “But it means everything to me.”

These are tiny treasures, yes — but they hold enormous meaning. “I think everyone deserves to wear something that makes them feel connected — to their history, their people, or even just themselves,” Caroline says.

Amy’s Story: Vintage Finds & Family Treasures

For Amy, estate jewelry has always been a love language — something that connects her to the women in her family.

“I still remember my grandmother’s gold bracelet,” she says. “It’s from the 1980s, and she wore it with everything. Dressed up, dressed down, gardening, cooking — it never came off.” When Amy inherited the piece, she started stacking it with her modern bracelets, giving it a fresh feel while still honoring its history. “It reminds me of her strength and elegance. Wearing it feels like having a piece of her with me every day.”

And perhaps most special of all? A timeless necklace gifted to her by Hauser’s, honoring her years with the store and her passion for connecting customers with meaningful pieces. “It’s more than a job,” Amy says. “It’s part of who I am.”
