About Hauser's

"Creative luxury means wearing something that shows off who you are."

It’s long been established that jewelry is a symbol of love and adornment. We believe that this symbol should be as far from ordinary as possible, which is why we show you the importance of good design. We believe in love, and a love for others. Ones measure of love through jewelry should be inspiring, creative, and meaningful.

Our Story

The Hauser legacy began in 1849, with the birth of Alfred Jacob Hauser, Sr. in Besancon, France, the same town that produced Victor Hugo. A series of extraordinary events led Alfred to New York City, where he worked briefly for Tiffany & Co. before moving to Newport News, Virginia, to establish his watch repair shop in 1898.

By 1915, his twin sons, Jake and Page, had joined him, inspecting pocket watches for the C & O Railroad. In 1957, Alfred Hauser, Jake’s son, opened **Hauser’s Fine Jewelry** in Hilton Village, later moving it to the Hidenwood Shopping Center. The Hauser family’s commitment to fine craftsmanship continued with Lee Hauser, who, alongside his wife Vicki, officially established Hauser’s Jewelers in 1986.

In 2014, the tradition was passed on to Amy Hart, Lee and Vicki’s daughter, and her husband, Brad. Amy’s vision led to a complete redesign of the store in 2017, transforming it into the vibrant destination it is today.
